Discover Yourself

We are more than the sum of our experiences, more than those things we've lived through. While our thoughts, feelings and behavior are often influenced by our beliefs about ourselves, and our interactions with others and our environment, we have the potential to choose that influence.

Are you ready to discover your potential?

Empower Yourself

As we increase our understanding of our own personal power, we improve our ability to make positive choices and better determine the directions for our lives.

Are you ready to start the process of self discovery?

Find Balance

Life is full of challenges. When those challenges become too much, life gets out of balance. We feel "off" or overwhelmed. Asking for help takes courage. Once we begin the process of transforming challenges into opportunities, we improve our ability to maintain life balance.

Are you ready to lead a more fulfilling life?

Services

It is a privilege to offer the following:

Consultation

A one-time meeting to consult for assessment, or to examine a personal situation that may not require ongoing therapy. Length will vary.

Fit Consult

I offer a one-time free fit consult, either by phone or online. This is an opportunity for us to chat to determine if we're a good fit to work together in ongoing therapy. 15 minutes maximum and by appointment only.

Online Therapy (Telehealth)

Professional assessment and therapy meetings conducted on HIPAA-compliant online platforms.

Supervision

I offer ongoing, as well as one-time supervision for currently or future licensed mental health professionals.  Clinical supervision provides an opportunity to review your work, and your own personal and professional growth.

In-Person Therapy

I am not currently offering in-person sessions. When pandemic conditions are lifted, I may offer in-person assessment and therapy meetings on a limited basis.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When done right, telehealth can be just as effective as in-person therapy, and in some cases even better. There are many studies that show this to be true. There are some differences, and telehealth may not be right for everyone or every situation. If you have concerns whether telehalth is right for you, let's talk about your concerns. Feel free to schedule a 15-minute one-time Fit Consult. This will give you an opportunity to try it out.

  • I use only HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms. This means that the companies that manage the specially designed platforms have agreed to maintain privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA laws and protect your patient health information (PHI). As with anything online, of course there are risks. I take measures to maintain security, such as using high level computer security programs. I maintain privacy during sessions by having a private, dedicated office space.

  • Absolutely. I offer a one time Fit Consult to allow you to try the online platform, and discuss any concerns that you may have. It also gives you a chance to see if you and I are a good fit for therapy.

  • At this time, I am able to accept Bright Health, Cigna, Medicare, Optum, United Healthcare (UHC), Amerigroup, and TRICARE insurance plans, and some TennCare plans (please ask to ensure coverage).

I am still working on acceptance by other commercial insurance companies, and will need direct payment for each session if not yet approved by your insurance provider. You have the option of contacting your insurance provider to inquire about "mental health out-of-network benefits". If that is an option for you, I can provide a detailed statement for you to submit with your claim for reimbursement to your insurance provider.

  • As a LCSW, I am a non-prescribing clinician. This means that I do not prescribe or manage medications. I do not recommend specific medications. If you would like to consider medication in addition to therapy, I will be happy to discuss that option with you, and to help you find an appropriate prescriber, whether that be your primary care provider, or a psychiatric provider in the local community.

  • Coyrle is a Manx term derived from Old Irish. It means guidance, advice, or counsel. That language is rarely spoken anymore. I use it as a tribute to those with Irish heritage, like myself.
